In 2005 a well established UK based commercial laundry equipment company began sourcing in China, with a view to developing a sales and installation business there.

The company had no previous experience of China, and Lion Rock provided a comprehensive service to support the launch of the project.

Process

The project involved a thorough consulation with the customer to understand the technical design and specification of the machines to be sourced. Extensive research took place to identify suitable vendors, and undertook supplier assessment to recommend the most capable. We then deployed English speaking engineers to liaise with the supplier and the customer to ensure that the exact design requirements were understood. A quality engineer was posted on site to check the first machines produced and also to supervise the loading of first shipments to ensure full compliance.
